Alan Meyerson Trying Our Prototype SF-24V

In January 2005, it dawned on me that David's personal gold SF-24 had been hanging by a mic cable in the Royer shop for a couple of months. I asked David if he was doing some recording and he said no, this was a mic he had tubified and had been testing over a period of time. He let me hear it, it blew me out of the water, and I imidiately called Alan Meyerson to see if he would try it out. Six weeks later it went up on a session of Alan's at Warner Brothers, then he took it back to Media Ventures (now Remote Control Productions) where it became the sole mic used for all of the Desperate Housewives cues for the rest of the season. I had to pry that mic out of Alan's fingers!
